IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia
Robeson
June 25, 1934 – February 6, 2025
Patricia A. Robeson,
Age 90, of Massillon, passed away Thur., Feb. 6, 2025 in Canton, Ohio. She was born June 25, 1934, in Franklin, PA, a daughter of the late Fred and Marjorie (Cramer) Kirk. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Robeson, D.D.S., on July 4, 2019, and her brother, Robert Kirk. She is survived by one daughter, Dr. Kimberly (Dr. Gerald) Kron; one son, Dr. Kirk (Dr. Meredith) Robeson; four grandchildren, Kyle (Samantha) Kron, Kathryn (Aron) Lime, Nolan Robeson and Holden Robeson; and three great grandchildren, Carter and McKenna Kron, and Elliot Lime.
Patricia attended Bethany College in West Virginia, where she earned a degree in Biology and Physical Education and also met her husband, Bruce. While at Bethany she was named queen of her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha and received a special award (Beehive award) which was for the biggest socializer! She was also a cheerleader and elected president of the Women's Student Association. She loved to dance, and her favorite was the jitterbug. After Bethany she taught Physical Education as well as special education for several years before starting her family.
Patricia was extremely active in the Canton community. She was a former chair of the Angel Auction and was recently honored by the Women's board of Aultman Hospital for 50 years of membership. She was a long-time member of the Garden Club and very active in the Junior League of Canton. She was also instrumental in founding the Canton Ballet as well as introducing recycling to Canton. Patricia was involved with the Central American Medical Outreach program, where she traveled to Honduras with her husband on mission trips.
She was an avid tennis player. She enjoyed playing with family and friends and continued playing on her Brookside tennis team until the age of 85. Patricia had an incredible green thumb and could even grow roses in the shade! If she wasn't on the tennis court, she was in her yard digging. She shared her love of cooking and baking with her daughter and granddaughter. She was famous for her apple pie, strawberry rhubarb pie, lasagna, chicken pot pie and blueberry muffins. She was a lifelong animal lover - owning German Shepherds and Shetland Sheepdogs, as well as rescuing many kittens in her neighborhood. She was a member of The Church of the Lakes and loved to listen to church music and sing. Patricia loved traveling the world, especially to Long Island Bahamas, where she shared a home with her husband, son, and daughter-in-law. The entire family shared many wonderful memories with her there.
She was the type of person who always lit up a room. Patricia was always so happy and positive. She loved to laugh and always had a smile on her face. She was the perfect combination of love and positive energy. She was always happiest when the family was together. Family meant everything to her. She was the most wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and wife. She will be missed greatly by all.
