PATRICIA A. LUCAS,

Age 83, of Lauderdale by the Sea, FL., passed away Sun., Dec. 13, 2015.  Born in Alliance, OH, a daughter of the late R.F. and Marie (Herlan) Doyle, she had been a Canton resident since 1963, moving to Florida in 2000.  Patty was a 1950 Graduate of Alliance High School and a 1954 Graduate of Marymount College in Los Angeles, CA.  She had taught 2nd Grade at Benjamin Franklin School in Euclid, OH and was a member of the Walsh College Women's Committee, Congress Lake Country Club, St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Canton and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ft. Lauderdale.  Patty had volunteered for the American Red Cross as a Gray Lady at Timken Mercy Medical Center for 25 years, the Canton Junior League, and as a Teacher for the Adult Literacy Project in Canton.  Preceded in death by her sister, Susan Anderson.  Survived by her husband, G. Robert "Bob" Lucas, with whom she celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary on July 28th; two sons, Rob (Scott Trenton) Lucas and Rick (Michelle) Lucas; and two grandchildren, Giselle and Robert.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Fri. at 1p.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with Fr. Don King as Celebrant.  Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Garden.  Friends may call two hours before the service, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patty's memory may be made to: Mercy Medical Center, 1320 Mercy Dr. NW., Canton, OH  44708, or Holy Cross Hospital, 4725 N.
