Patricia Ann Longo

Age 77, of Waynesburg, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024.  She was born Dec. 17, 1946 in Canton, a daughter of the late Patsy D. and Hazel C. (Bitzel) Longo, and was a life resident of Waynesburg.  Patty was a 1964 graduate of Sandy Valley High School and retired from The Timken Co. after 30 years in the office.  She was a member of St. James Catholic Church.  Patty was an avid follower of the Cleveland Indians, and was a long-time participant in the Canton Corporate Cup for The Timken Co.  She played softball most of her adult life for the Buckeye Blues, and was honored by Induction into the Stark County Softball Hall of Fame.

Patty is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Patsy R. "Buster" and Theresa Longo, a nephew and niece, 2 great nieces and a great-nephew, Joseph Longo, and Dena (Cory) Fisher, and their children, Ella, Michael and Lily.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sat. at 11 a.m.  in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Matthew Humerickhouse as Celebrant.  Friends may call two hours before the Mass at the church from 9-11 a.m.  Interment will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
