PATRICIA A. JOHNSTON, Age 65, of Canton, passed away Sat. morning in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Massillon, a daughter of the late John Martin and Thelma Smith Martin of Canton, she had been a life resident of the Canton area. Pat graduated from Glenwood High School and retired from Siffrin Residential Services in 2006 as a caregiver. She was a member of the Red Hat Society of Springwood Lake and enjoyed camping and playing the slots. Survived by her husband, Kenneth Johnston, with whom she would have celebrated their 35th Wedding Anniversary on July 19th; one daughter and son-in-law, Mindy And Dave Morris, of Canton; one son, Dean James Johnston, of Athens, GA; one sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Jerry Updyke, and one brother and sister-in-law, John "Kenny" and Vickie Martin, all of Canton; many nieces and nephews; and her granddog, Brandy. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregiver, Tesha Clifford. Services will be conducted Thur. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. J. Michael Bragg officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Wed. from 6-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
