Patricia J. Howenstine

Age 90, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022.  She was born May 26, 1932 in Dover, a daughter of the late John and Ruth (Corbett) Walter, and had been a Magnolia resident since 1985.  Patty was a 1950 graduate of East Sparta High School and attended the Aultman School of Nursing. She had been employed by the New Philadelphia City Schools for 15 years as a bus driver.  Patty was a member of East Sparta Christian Church. She and her husband loved the farm they lived on north of East Sparta and riding four wheelers.  They attended equine shows in Columbus and she volunteered five years for Pegasus Farms.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Donald L. Howenstine, on Jan. 18, 2007, and a brother, James Walter.  Patty is survived by one daughter and two sons, Lori Howenstine, Tim Howenstine, and Jeffrey Howenstine.

Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Jack Everett officiating.  Friends may call Wed. 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.  Interment will be in East Sparta Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
