Patricia (Phillips) Hobson   1938 – 2017

Age 79, of East Canton, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017.  She was born Feb. 1, 1938 in Lucasville, OH, a daughter of the late Harlan and Velma (Puckett) Blakeman, grew up in Fairhope, and was a resident of the Canton area most of her life.  Patty was a retired employee of the Berger Division of Republic Steel Corp.  and previously worked at Thermofab.  She was an avid bowler and had the highest single game in Stark County in 1973 of 287.  Patty was a life member of VFW Post #3747, and a member of Monnier-Duplain American Legion Post #548 and the Louisville Eagles.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Blakeman, and two grandchildren, Jessica Phillips and Donn Hobson III.  She is survived by her husband, Donn A. Hobson; one daughter, Ronda (Bob) Rosenstein; four sons, Rick Phillips, Calvin (Cheryl) Phillips, Donn (JoBeth) Hobson II, and Dann (Shelly) Hobson; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Geri (Butch) Petree; three brothers, Rod (Nancy) Blakeman, David (Shelva) Blakeman, and Kenny (Ariadne) Blakeman.  According to Patty's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.  Following cremation interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
