Patricia A. "Patty Jo" Hager

Age 76, of Magnolia, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014, in Altercare of Louisville.  She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late Harold "Bunny" and Pauline (Fry) Joseph, and was a life resident of Magnolia.  Patty was a 1956 graduate of Sandy Valley High School, and retired in 1994 from Blue Cross, after 34 years service, where she was a supervisor.  She was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church and the Magnolia Historical Society, had served as Chairperson of Magnolia Canal Days for several years, and also as Co-Chairperson for the Valley Merry Christmas at the high school for many years.  Survived by her former husband, Larry Hager, of Louisville; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Don Hager, of North Canton; her aunt, Marian "Toots" Joseph, of Magnolia; cousins, Beverly Schwertfeger, Mary Lou Eddy, Dan Joseph, and Karen Meyers; her dear friends, Sharon Stratton, Jackie Betz, Dodi Daly, Caleb and Tina Fornash, Anthony Watkins, Jackie, Nicole and Alysse Lancaster; and her beloved cat, Midnight.  Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m.  in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. William Y.  McGovern officiating.  Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.  Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patty's memory may be made to Magnolia Historical Society, Sandy-Beaver Canal Society, or the Carroll County Humane Society.  The family wishes to express their appreciation to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Aultman Hospital and the staff of Altercare of Louisville for the love and care they gave to Patty.
