Patricia J. Dillehay

Age 82, of Newark, OH, formerly of Waynesburg, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015.  She was born in Haydenville, OH, a daughter of the late James B. and Eva Mae (Pierson) Campbell, and had been a resident of the Waynesburg area most of her life.  Patty was a 1951 graduate of Waynesburg High School.  She retired from Sandy Valley Local Schools where she was an aide at Waynesburg Elementary School for 20 years.  She had been a member of the former Waynesburg United Methodist Church, which she served as treasurer many years. Also a member of the Auxiliary of Sandy Valley American Legion Post #432 and the Waynesburg Alumni Association, which she served in many capacities.  She loved life and every day was a new day to enjoy.  Patty was never bored and loved her many friends.  She never met a stranger and was adored by not only her family but everyone.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, George D. Dillehay, on Oct. 21, 2007.  Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kyra and Dwayne Yeager, of Newark, OH; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Kathy Dillehay, of Columbus, and Michael and Penny Dillehay, of Waynesburg; Patty was the loving grandmother of eight grandchildren whom she dearly loved, Tiffany, Kaley, Garrett, Jason and Doug Yeager, Kelsey (Nathan) McKillip, Caitlin (Kyle) McCallum, and Lucas Dillehay, and great-grandson, Branson Hartman.  A Memorial Service will held Sat., April 11, 2015, at 1 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Barbara Marriccini officiating.  Friends may call Sat. two hours before the service from 11 a.m.-1 p.m..  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
