Patricia J. Bennett,

Age 82, of Canton, passed away Fri., June 14, 2024.  She was born Mar. 7, 1942, in Canton, a daughter of the late Fred and Marie (Pomesky) Scheurer.  Patty was a 1960 graduate of Timken Vocational High School and retired in 2013 from Aultman Hospital where she worked in the laundry.  Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bennett, on Aug. 3, 2012, one sister, Margie Scheurer, and two brothers, Richard and John Scheurer.  Survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary (Steve) Kolm, and Lisa Becher; two sisters, Barbara Nieporte and Linda Gordon; four grandchildren, Ashley (Seth) Warthen, Kaylia (Evan) Griffiths, and Anthony and Joshua Becher; two sisters-in-law, Mary Scheurer and Nancymae Scheurer; and two sons-in-law, Tony Becher and Mike Maupin.  Services will be held Tues. at 1 pm in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home.  Friends may call two hours before the service, from 11 am to 1 pm, in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patty's name may be made to the Stark County Humane Society, 5100 Peach St NE, Louisville, OH 44641  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
