Oscar Trbovich
Age 87, of Waynesburg, passed away suddenly Monday, June 8, 2015, at his home. He was born in Waynesburg, a son of the late Daniel and Mildred (Perich) Trbovich, and was a life resident. Oscar was a 1946 graduate of Waynesburg High School. He was a retired employee of the Whitacre-Greer Fireproofing Co., and had been a long-time self-employed farmer, and also owner-operator of Sandy Valley Sanitation and Ace Roll-off. He was a member of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Farm Bureau. He enjoyed going to tractor pulls. Oscar loved life, enjoyed working, and micro managing his whole family, and they will miss him terribly. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister, George and Nick Trbovich, and Anne Marino. Survived by his wife, Beverly J. (Wells) Trbovich, with whom he celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on May 3rd; three daughters and sons-in-law, two sons and a daughter-in-law, and 13 grandchildren, Kathy and Don Pontones, and their children, Don, Jr. and his fiancée, Angela, Kara and her fiancé, Nick, and Kelly, Anne and Dick Nixon, and their children, Steve and Katie (Andrew) Irwin, Bev and Jeff Chiavari and their children, Jeff, Jr., Jenna, and Tia, Dan and Nancy Trbovich, and their children Alivia, Austin, and Logan, Oscar "Okie" Trbovich, Jr. (Sonja) and his children, Tori and Tyler, all of Waynesburg; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy and John Maxwell, and Millie Sickafoose, all of Waynesburg, and Helen Hahn, of New Philadelphia; one brother, Sam Trbovich, of Wayneburg; his best friend, Clifford Burwell; and his beloved dog, Penny. Services will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 5-9 p.m. and Sat. 10-11 a.m. before the service.
