Obituary

Orlo L. German Age 85, of Magnolia, passed away Wednesday morning in Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar. He was born in Dellroy, a son of the late Okey and Mary (Shotwell) German, and was a life resident of the Dellroy-Magnolia area. Orlo was a 1946 graduate of Dellroy High School. He retired in 1992 from the A. R. Elson Co., after 45 years' service, where he was a carpenter and helped build homes. Orlo was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Magnolia, and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Ross, sister, Marie Moore, and two brothers, John and Dean German. Survived by his wife, Anna Mae German, with whom he celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary on June 6th; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Jack Lidderdale and Nancy and Greg Mahoney, all of Magnolia, Barbara and Gary Takavitz, of Chesterfield, MO; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Jodi German, of Magnolia; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Evelyn Jones, of Dellroy, Norma Roof, of Canton, and Donna and Bob Westfall, of Carrollton; one brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Linda German, of Dellroy; eight grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Services will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor J. Andrew Riggs officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery.
