Norita "Annie" Lightfoot

Age 81, of East Sparta, passed away Sat., July 24, 2021.  She was born May 12, 1940 in Canton, a daughter of the late Lewis Rice and Dorothy (Neading) Rice Patterson Richenbach, and was a life resident of East Sparta.  Annie was a 1958 graduate of Sandy Valley High School.  She had worked at Custard's Last Stand, Mimi's Restaurant, and Jack's Quick Shake.  She was a member of East Sparta Christian Church, the Auxiliary of Isaac L. Kinney American Legion Post #244, the Fire Dept. Auxiliary, Canton South AARP, and WILS Chapter 72.  Annie was one of a number of auxiliary members who would always show up at a fire with food and beverages for the fire fighters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Rice, and a brother-in-law, Richard Freitag.  Annie is survived by her husband, Johnny H. Lightfoot, with whom she celebrated their 47th Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 30th, one daughter, Sonia (Bob) Bay, a son, William Wilson, a step-daughter, Devonne (Shawn) Muldowney, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, one sister, Sue Freitag, one brother, James "Bud" (Jean) Rice, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Rice.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sat., August 7, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the East Sparta Christian Church.
