NATHANIEL B. "NATE"  WHEELER,

Age 47, of Massillon, passed away Sun. evening in Mercy Medical Center.  Born in Canton, a son of Charles and Donna (Forester) Wheeler, of Massillon, he had been a life resident in this area.  Nathaniel was a 1984 graduate of Jackson High School and attended DeVry University in Columbus for two years.  He was a freelance mechanic for HBC Transportation, previously Manager of Midas Muffler in Wooster.  He was a kind person who would always go out of his way to help anyone. During his career any repairs he made were not sent out unless he was sure the vehicle was safe.  This especially was true when the vehicle was used to transport children.  Nathaniel loved hunting and fishing and his two white pitbulls, Diamond and Beauty.  Survived by his daughter, Kerri Wheeler, of Canton; twin sons, Daniel Wheeler, of Massillon, and Nathaniel Lee Wheeler, of Canton; one granddaughter, Elaina; and Vicki Bates, the mother of his children.  A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sun. from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Family Center of the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home.  Memorials in Nathaniel's name may be made to the Humane Society.
