Murray
June 8, 1941 – March 11, 2024
Nancy L. Murray,

While working full time and raising a family, she volunteered her time on the Waynesburg Fire Department Women's Auxiliary where she cooked, baked, and was part of many fundraisers to support the Volunteer Fire Department.
Nancy and her late husband Bill enjoyed their winters in Sarasota, FL where she enjoyed soaking up the sun and frequent shopping trips. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Nancy enjoyed sitting outside watching all the kids' sporting events. Nancy was a very hardworking woman always putting her family first her entire life. She took great pride in her home; she loved tinkering outside with her flowers and landscaping. Nancy was also known for all-day shopping trips to the Amish country, visiting gift shops and the nearby greenhouses. The family always joked about getting on the Murray bus because you never knew what time you would return home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband of 57 years, Bill Murray, daughter, Patricia Murray, two brothers, Don and Robert Baxter, father-in-law and mother in-law Harry and Elizabeth Murray, her sisters-in-law, Sue Baxter, Doris Rice, and Lola Hoover.
She is survived by her son Bill "Bouncer" Murray and daughter Nichole "Nikki" (Michael) Herstine. She has three grandchildren, Lucas (Samantha) Murray, Morgan (Evan) McIntosh, and Cole Murray, six great-grandchildren, Luke, Ellie, Emmy Murray and Ezra, Zara, and Evander McIntosh; sister, Joann (Jim) Brown, brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Roberta Murray, James and Phyllis Murray, Gale and Tina Murray. Nancy is also survived by her several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to her special friend Angela Oberster and neighbors Chuck and Tammy Corregan. The family would also like to thank the staff at Aultman Compassionate Care facility where they were able to keep her comfortable during her final days.
