Myrna Jean Watson

Age 89, of Massillon, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017, in her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born July 12, 1927, in Canton, a daughter of the late Clifford and Anna (Foltz) Wallick, and was a life resident.  Myrna Jean was a 1945 graduate of Lincoln High School.  She had been a member of the dancers of the Reynolds & McIlvain Dance Company, and she also enjoyed reading.  Myrna Jean's children and grand-children were her passion, and she loved going to their games and activities.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Jim Watson, on Feb. 6, 1994, two sisters and one brother, Charlene Leidtke, Virginia Johnson, and Wayne Wallick.  She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Gayle and Doug Stutz, of Akron, and Laurel and Bryan Cartwright, of Massillon; three sons and daughters-in-law, Brent and Cheryl Hartzell, of Columbus, Steve and Penny Watson, of Canton, and Tad Watson, of Massillon; a step-son, Jimmy Watson, of Canton; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Claire McCorkle and Caryl Corris, both of Canton.  According to Myrna Jean's wishes there will no calling hours or services.  The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
