Mildred E. Perdue
Age 98, of North Canton, went home to be with the Lord Wed. evening in Windsor Medical Center. She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Roxanna Kreighbaum Blake, and was a life resident of this area. Mildred was a 1929 graduate of McKinley High School and also a graduate of Miami University of Ohio with a Degree in Elementary Education. She retired in 1972 from Canton City Schools where she taught at South Market and Wells Elementary Schools. Mildred was a member of First Christian Church, where she taught a Sunday School Class for over 50 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Ray H. Perdue, on Oct. 31, 1993, and two sisters, Doris Hill and Ruth Billingsley. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and Robert Miller, of East Sparta, and Marcia and Ralph Wolfe, of Canton; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Chad Wolfe and his wife, Angie, and their daughter, Reagan, Ryan Wolfe and his wife, Melissa and their children, Rocco and Zoe, Melissa Overly and her husband, Jason, and their sons, Nathan and Isaac, Nichelle McCann and her husband, Steve, and their children, Kaylie and Cade. Services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Minister Jeff Bullock officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 3-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Perdue's memory may be made to the Building Fund of First Christian Church.
