MICHAEL J. MOKODEAN, JR.,

Age 90, of Canton, passed away Fri., Oct. 10, 2014.  Born in Canton, a son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Stroia) Mokodean, he had been a life resident of Canton.  He was a 1941 graduate of Timken Vocational High School and served with the U.S. Army during WWII.  Michael was a member of St. George Romanian Catholic Cathedral and retired from Diebold, Inc. in 1984 after 15 years service as a Vice President.  Preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Mokodean in 1992 and his second wife, Josephine, in 2006; two sisters, Aurelia Gabor and Helen Fitch; and one brother, George Mokodean.  Survived by one daughter, Christine Golden, of Boca Raton, FL; one son, Michael D. Mokodean, of North Canton; and five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  A Christian Burial Service will be held Thur. at 11 a.m. in the St. George Romanian Catholic Cathedral with Very Rev. Fr. Ovidiu Marginean officiating.  Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour before the service in the church.  The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Michael's name may be made to St. George Romanian Catholic Cathedral, 1123 44th St. NE, Canton, OH  44714.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneral homes.com.  In his day, it was said "He could run faster than you could think."
