MARY M. WINN, Age 65, of Canton South, passed away peacefully Tues. evening in her residence after a brief illness, with her family by her side. Born in Canton, a daughter of the late George and Thelma Hill Schlimm, she had been a life resident of the Canton/East Sparta area. Mary was a 1965 graduate of Sandy Valley High School and earned two associates degrees from Stark State College. She attended Fellowship Baptist Church and worked for many years at Mercy Stat Care and for Dr. Lizabeth Powers Dermatology as a certified medical assistant. Preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. Survived by her husband, David Z. Winn, Jr., with whom she celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 26; two daughters and one son-in-law, Cynthia and Anthony Dugan, of Canton South, and Jennifer Boyd, of Perry Twp.; one son, David Z. Winn III, of Canton South; one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Norm Watson, of East Sparta; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Norma Schlimm, of East Sparta; two sisters-in-law, Helen Schlimm and Ellie Schlimm; one brother-in-law, Dave Keeney; four grandsons, Mitchell, Nathan, Jacob and Nicholas; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Frank and Cherie Dugan and Harry and Lizabeth Howell. Mary had a big heart, was always looking out for others before herself, and was a devoted grandmother. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her family. According to her wishes, following cremation a memorial service will be held Thur. at 7 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Thomas Shank, Jr. officiating.
