Mary O. Whitlock Age 100, of Mineral City, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 14, 2011. She was born in Syracuse, OH, a daughter of the late Harve and Nettie Sinnett Cochran, resided in Mineral City over 60 years, and Canton the last 16 years. Mary was a member of the Daughters of Rebekah, and had volunteered as a poll worker for the Carroll County Board of Elections for many years. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jesse A. "Chuck" Whitlock, on June 24, 1994, a daughter, Kay Collins, in 1988, three sisters and two brothers. Survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Phyllis Miller, of McDonald, PA, Robin Davis, and Hope and David Morrow, all of Canton, and Bea and Gary Barrick, of Waynesburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles Preston and Paula Whitlock, of Zoar, OH; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Wed. at 2 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Wed. one hour before the service.
