Mary Leishman,

Age 83, of Canton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 with her family by her side to be home with the Lord. She was born June 5, 1942 in Canton, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Ross) Petitto. Mary was a 1960 graduate of Sandy Valley High School and had been a member of the Little Country Church.

Survived by her loving husband, Jerry Leishman, with whom she would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June, 17th. Two daughters Vanessa (Gene) Shortt and Vonda (Michael) Moore. Six grandchildren, Jessica (James) Broad, Troy (Danielle) Shortt, Ryan Moore, Nathan Moore, Natalie Moore and Rachael (Shane) Gibson. Eight great grandchildren, Dakota, Bailey, Chase Broad, Elleiana, Savannah Shortt, Ava Moore, Emerson, Beckam Gibson.

Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She volunteered at Mercy Medical for 17 years and loved to travel, enjoyed fashion, dancing, yoga and Victorian home decor. She also was a friend to everyone she met. Above all, she loved Jesus.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 11:00 am in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. Friends may call one hour before the service, from 10:00 - 11:00 am in the funeral home.
