Mary Lou Jones Age 73, of Mineral City, passed away Sunday evening in New Dawn Nursing Home. She was born in Mineral City, a daughter of the late Kelly and Adelyne (Black) Shroyer, and was a life resident. She was a 1957 graduate of Mineral City High School. Mary Lou was a member of Mineral City Church of The Nazarene and the Mineral City Historical Society. Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Curtis D. Jones, on Oct. 16, 2011, and a brother, Lorin Shroyer. Survived by her daughter, Hope Spencer, of Massillon; her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Danielle Jones, of Canton; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Helen M. Jones, of Mineral City; and a brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Pam Shroyer, of New Philadelphia. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Mineral City Church of The Nazarene with Pastors Terry Passmore and Karma Burton officiating. Interment in German Cemetery.
