Obituary

Mary Margaret Honabarger

Age 101, of Waynesburg, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016.  She was born in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Ira "Bert" and Minnie (Thompson) Brownson, and was a life resident in the house in which she was born.  Margaret was a 1933 graduate of Waynesburg High School and was Valedictorian of her class.  She retired in 1985 from Sears, after 23 years service, where she worked in the domestics dept.  Margaret was a member of North Industry Christian Church and a 56 year member of Orange Rebekah Lodge #784, also the Sandy Valley Senior Citizens and the Sears Retirees.  Preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Honabarger, on Dec. 18, 1970, her daughter, JoAnne Riedesel, who died the day before Margaret on March 27th, and a sister, Mildred Fry.  Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and John Mills, of Magnolia; her son and daughter-in-law, James and Linda Honabarger, of Lake Mohawk; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.  Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Steve Kimbrel officiating.  Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.  Friends may call two hours before the service on Friday from 11-1 p.m.  Rebekah Lodge will hold services at 12:45 p.m. Friday.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
