IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Helen
Wilson
November 25, 1932 – June 3, 2015
Mary Helen (Reynolds) Wilson
Age 82, of Massillon, passed away on June 3, 2015, in Aultman Compassionate Care Center. Born on Nov. 25, 1932 in East Sparta, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Dorothy (Brothers) Reynolds. Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James (Jim), on June 8, 2014, two brothers, Carl and Paul Reynolds, and a very special niece, Vicki (Reynolds) Dyke. Survived by her children, Jim (Lou-Anne) Wilson, of Chesapeake, VA, Mary Lou Royer, of Massillon, Barbara Leachman (Chris Mooney), who are currently traveling the country, and Diane Kranenburg, of Fallon, NV; eight grandchildren, Aaron Leachman, Jennifer (Royer) Goodman, Michael Royer, Jessica (VanHorne) Dicus, Steven VanHorne, Laura (VanHorne) Purdy, Joshua Wilson, and Kristen (Wilson) Zumeta. She adored her grandchildren and attended each of their high school graduations, even if it meant traveling the country. She was always involved in their lives and was even known as "Grandma" to many of their friends. Mary also has eight great-grandchildren, Elena, Ashleigh, Hailey, Jacob, Lizzy, Brian, Gabriella, and Emmalin, whom she adored and proudly displayed their pictures. Also survived by brothers, Bill, Virgil, Frank, Lester, and Gary Reynolds. Much love to "Aunt" Ethel Peloso, who was mom's wonderful roommate while at Altercare of Navarre. Mary was one of eight siblings, the only girl in a family of seven brothers. Several of her brothers, her father and her late husband, Jim, had built their first house in Sandyville, in which to raise their family. Mary and Jim had moved to North Canton in 1968. More recently Mary and Jim had relocated to Massillon. Life in Sandyville was simple, preparing meals and summer cookouts were a couple of Mary's favorite pass times. Mary always enjoyed the Reynolds family gatherings, when family would break bread together. Mary had a heart for ensuring her family and friends were never hungry. People enjoyed her cooking and were always asking for her recipes. A special thank you to the doctors and staff of Aultman Compassionate Care who made sure Mary had the best of care and comfort during her final days. A celebration of life will be announced to family and friends at a later date. Condolences, messages, or cards may be sent to Mary Lou Royer at 3763 Mollane St., NW, Massillon, OH 44646. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 15th, 2015 at 2:45 pm in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville, OH. The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
