Mary L. Devine

Age 87, of East Sparta, passed away Thursday, Feb.25, 2021.  She was born March 11, 1933 in Dover, OH, a daughter of the late Archie and Danina (Scaffide) Tacciole, and was a life resident of East Sparta.  Mary was a 1951 graduate of East Sparta High School.  She had been a cook for some time at Bear Creek Steak House.  Mary was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Morges.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Joseph G. Devine, on April 29, 2018, a sister, Dorothy Anderson, and a son-in-law, Ted Benze.  She is survived by three daughters and a son, Cheryl (Matthew) Klima, Diane Benze, Karen Devine and Sergio Ruzzier, and David Devine; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, Chris (Brittany) Benze and their daughter, Isla, Jon Benze, Matt Klima, Tim Klima, and Viola Ruzzier.  Due to Covid-19 a private family gathering will be held Monday in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Fr. Jonas Shell officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held later in the summer or fall when people are permitted to gather, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Morges, and will be announced in The Repository and on the funeral home web site.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
