Mary Kay DeMaskey
Age 86, of Stow, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013. Mary Kay's vivacious personality, giving heart, and genuine love for God, family, and others will be greatly missed. It is for all of these reasons that we know God greeted her and said, "Well done, my good and faithful servant, you have made me proud." Mary Kay was born in Windsor, Ontario on August 6, 1926. She moved to Peterhead, Scotland when she was nine and from there to Bristol, England. Following WW II, as a war bride, she moved to Ohio. She spent many years in the furniture sales business working at J. C. Penney, Tallmadge Furniture, and then traveling the country with "Harvey's Crew", working for the Planned Furniture Promotions Company. She completed her last sale in Racine, WI at the age of 84. Preceded in death by her son, James and a grandson, James, Mary Kay is survived by her loving daughters, Kim Culp (Gary Bryan) of Omaha, NE, Laurie Eisaman, of Canton, and Beth (Joe) Lechner, of Massillon; her beloved grandchildren, Tracy, Matthew, Lindsay, Meghan, and Emily. Many other relatives, friends and co-workers, whom she treasured so much. Thank you to everyone for their constant prayers for her and our family while we grieve her loss here on earth, but also celebrate her homecoming with her gracious Father. May you find as much comfort as we do in the knowledge that we will all definitely be seeing Mary Kay again. A Celebration of Her Life Service will be held at First Christian Church, 3493 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44244, on Sat., Feb. 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jonathan W. Rumburg officiating. The family will receive friends in the church Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.
