Mary L. Craddock
Age 86, most recently of Louisville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025. She was born January 28, 1939 in Canton, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Gallagher) Bernard, and was a resident of Canton most of her life. Mary was a 1957 graduate of Central Catholic High School where she played clarinet in the band. She was retired from Canton City Schools where she served as a "lunch lady" at Lehman. Mary and Tom also had a lot of small and fun entrepreneurial jobs running the Dairy Cup in Jackson Township, Sippo Lake Marina, Happy Hand Baits, and a food truck. Mary was a member of First Christian Church and the Christian Homebuilders Sunday School Class and was a long-time youth sponsor and church office volunteer. She also volunteered in the gift shop at Canton Christian Home for many years. Mary and Tom loved living on Lake Cable for 25 years, riding on their pontoon boat, and hosting parties. Their home was always filled with love, laughter, family and friends, food, cards and games. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Craddock of almost 64 years; siblings Barbara Roberts, June Brahler, Frances Knorzer, J. Daniel Bernard, and a great-grandson, Jesse Adkins. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is survived by four daughters, Lorie (Jess) Adkins, and their children, Jason (Kacie) Adkins, and their children, Josiah and Magnolia; Jennifer (Daniel) Deetz, and their daughter, Victoria / Terrie (Alan) Robbins, and their daughters, Ashley (Alex) Irwin and Sarah Robbins / Sherry (Jeff) Graham, and daughters, Dawn Graham, and her daughters, Lauren and Angelina; Stephanie Graham (Michael Yoder); and Nicole Graham / Patty (Julian) Taylor, and her children, Kenny (Christine) Beck, Jr., and their children, Lexi, Josh, Zach, and Leo; Joe (Sarah) Beck; Amanda (Ernesto) Salvatierra, and their daughters, Esther and Eden. Mary is also survived by sister-in-law, Margie Bernard, and many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Services will be held Sat. at 12noon in the Chapel in the Johnson Center of Malone University, 2600 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44709, with Bradley Clark and Mary's son-in-law, Jess Adkins officiating. Friends may call Sat. from 10am to 12 noon in the chapel. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary's memory may be made to First Christian Church, 6900 N.
