Mary Jo Burke Age 73, of Magnolia, passed away Monday morning in her home. She was born in Elkins, WV, a daughter of the late Oscar and Mae (Yoakum) Smith, and had been a Magnolia resident since 1990, previously residing in Barberton. Mary Jo was a 1955 graduate of Northwest High School. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Burke, Sr., on Dec. 12, 1999, and a daughter, Diane Brady. Survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles Burke, Jr. and his fiancee, Tarina Williams, of Magnolia, and Terry and Valarie Burke, of Waynesburg; one daughter, Charlene Garland, of Kimbolton, OH; two grandchildren, Jason Garland and Shondra Brady; three sisters and three brothers. According to Mary Jo's wishes she will be cremated and there will be no calling hours or services. The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of arrangements.
