Marvin L. Durst,

Age 78, of Waynesburg, passed away Sat., Jan. 25, 2025.  He was born Oct. 14, 1946, in Grantsville, MD, a son of the late Jeremiah and Annabelle Durst.  Marvin served with the US Army and attended Trinity Gospel Temple.  He retired from Sugardale as a machine operator and also had worked at Top Value Hardware in Waynesburg.  Preceded in death by his daughter, Heidi Shepard.  Survived by his wife, Rita Durst; his son, Clinton Durst; his sister, Linda Miller; and his brother, Ray (Edith) Guthrie.  Services will be held Fri. at 1 pm in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.  Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.  Friends may call Fri. two hours before the service, from 11am to 1 pm, in the funeral home.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
