Martha Faye Tope

Age 78, of Waynesburg, passed away Wed., Sept. 11, 2024.  She was born Dec. 9, 1945 in Ward, WV, a daughter of the late Basil and Pauline (Kessell) Hackworth, and had been a resident of Waynesburg 40 years.  She and her husband had owned and operated A-Bouquet Florist for 35 years, retiring in 2017.  She also sold Home Interiors for years.  Faye had taught floral arranging at Canton South High School for some time.  She enjoyed traveling, especially to Texas to see family.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Walden, Sr., and a granddaughter, Dawna Faye Walden.  Faye is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sandy Walden, and a grandson, Timothy Walden, Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Private graveside services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville with Pastor Linda Slutz officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
