Marlene K. Gray,

Age 78, of East Sparta, passed away Mon., July 13, 2026. She was born Dec. 7, 1947, in Lock Haven, PA, a daughter of the late Nevin Womelsdorf, Sr., and Gladys (Newman) Cook.

Marlene was a 1966 graduate of Corning Painted Post West High School and was a member of East Sparta Community Church. She had worked at Schneiders Market in East Sparta, as a Janitor at East Sparta United Methodist Church, Crossroads Supermarket, H&H Auto Parts, and the Sleep Inn in Bolivar.

Preceded in death by her husband, Gary Gray, and her sister, Deborah Brockway. Survived by two daughters, Cheryl Gray and Sheila Gray; one sister, Florence Jones; and one brother, Nevin (Sue) Womelsdorf, Jr.

Services will be held Sat. at 11am in Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Fri., from 5-7pm and Sat. from 10-11am Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
