MARJORY L. DAVIDSON,
Age 92, of Canton, passed away Thur. afternoon in Hospice House in New Philadelphia. Born in Guernsey Co., OH a daughter of the late Boyd and Hazel Kent Hall, she moved to Mineral City in 1940 and then to Canton in 1989. Marjory was a 1940 graduate of Madison High School, (now Buckeye Trail High School), and was employed 23 years as a Secretary at Mineral City Elementary School, retiring in 1986. She was honored by the Mineral City Historical Society on her 90th birthday for her years of service as the school secretary. Marjory was a member of Tuscarawas County Retired Teachers Association, and Mineral City United Methodist Church from 1957-2000, when she joined Church of the Lakes, United Methodist. Preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Davidson, on Jan. 18, 1983, a daughter, Sharon Fross, on Jan. 30, 2002, a sister, Kathleen Pittis, and two brothers, Virgil and Harley Hall. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Nancy Davidson, of North Canton; four granddaughters and five great grandchildren, Jo Davidson and her husband Tommy Manzi, Jennifer Tenaglia and her husband Bob and their children Carly and Conner, Barbara Seeden and her husband, Tony and their children Olivia and Jayden, and Lisa Seeden and her husband Derek and their daughter Naomi; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Agnes Larrick, of Tallmadge, Valeria Rice, of Mineral City, and Vivian and Bob Tedrick, of Freeport, OH; and one brother and sister-in-law, Boyd and Inez Hall, of Freeport, OH. Services will be conducted Sun. at 3 p.m. in Church of the Lakes, United Methodist Church with Pastor Brian George officiating. Interment in Mineral City Cemetery. Friends may call Sun. from 2-3 p.m. in the church. The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of arrangements. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Joyce and David Lewis and Community Hospice for the extraordinary care and concern they showed Marjory.
