MARJORIE A. SCHOTT,

Age 91, of Canal Fulton, passed away Oct. 14, 2014, in her residence.  Born in Canton, a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Thomas) Pitts, she was a 1941 graduate of Lehman High School and a 1946 graduate of the Ohio State University with a Bachelor's degree in Education.  Marjorie taught elementary education three years prior to her marriage at Cedar and Belle Stone schools and was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church.  She was an avid bridge player and was a member of Junior League and Symphony League and had been President of the College Club.  Preceded in death by her husband, Bruce C. Schott, on July 2, 2004, and her sister, Martha Pitts.  Survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mark and Christy Schott, of Canal Fulton, and Steven Schott, of Akron; one sister, Marilyn Denny, of Ojai, CA; one brother, Thomas Pitts, of Scottsdale, AZ; six grandchildren, Amy and Jessica Schott, Summer Schott and her husband, James Lua, Ryan Smith, and Jessica and Cory Lee; and four great grandchildren, Ron and Grace Reining, and Braylon and Carter Smith.  A Memorial Service will be held Fri. at 3 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
