Age 85, a life resident of Canton, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024.  She was born December 3, 1938, a daughter of the late Raymond and Leto (Snyder) Evans.  Marilyn was a 1956 graduate of Lincoln High School.  She was retired from Aultman Hospital after 21 years in Patient Accounts, and prior to that worked in the office of The Canton Repository.  She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church where she loved singing in the choir. She and her husband, Jim, traveled extensively in retirement, with their favorite destination being Myrtle Beach.  She also enjoyed many years as a Red Hatter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Yeager, three sisters and two brothers, Carolyn Radel, Elizabeth Cairns, Donna Ellenger, Raymond Evans, and Clarence Evans.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, James A. Rollins, with whom she would have celebrated their 63rd Wedding Anniversary on June 10th this year; one daughter and one son, Linda (John) Litman and Tim (Danielle) Rollins; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Shawna Yeager, Ashley (Kevin) Pruitt, and their children, Madyson, Trenton and Kevin, Jonathan (Megan) Litman, and their children, Jonathan and Lainey, Justin Litman (Megan), Aaliyah Litman, Taylor Rollins, Jasmin (DeAnte) Shaffer, and their children, Rilynn and Kingston.

Services will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Kunder officiating.  Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m.  Interment will be in Melscheimer Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
