Obituary

Marilyn E. Postlewait Age 91, of Louisville, went home in the arms of our Savior, on Thursday morning, Nov. 10, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late Harry and Ruth (Lenhart) Davis, and was a life resident of this area. Marilyn was a 1938 graduate of McKinley High School. Over the years she worked at W. T. Grant Co., for Drs. Bircher & Rhodes, and lastly Anchor Foundry & Machine, which she and her husband owned and operated since 1958, and is now owned by her son Chuck. Marilyn was a member of Maximo Zion Church for over 50 years, and her passion was playing the organ for church services, which she did for more than 20 years. Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Harold Postlewait, on Dec. 5, 1988, three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jerry and Deanie Davis, Ray and Joanne Davis, and Ernest Davis. Survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas Postlewait, of Louisville, and Charles A. and Janet Postlewait, of Canton; five grandchildren, Anne Marie Postlewait, Bart (Shawna) Postlewait, Laura Postlewait Barcalow, Chuck E. Postlewait, and Janel Postlewait; Marilyn was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Kathleen, Tabetha, Evelyn, Kaylee, and Lewis. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor David Ashbrook officiating. Interment in West Lawn Cemetery.
