MARILYN A. GEIS,

Age 77, of Canton, passed away Sat. May 16, 2015.  Born in Salt Lake City, UT, a daughter of the late Agnes Stark, she had been a longtime resident of Canton.  Marilyn had worked at Ohio Bell Telephone Co., where she met her husband, and was a member of the Red Hat Society and T.O.P.S. of Canton.  She was a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she was choir director, organist, pianist, and vocalist.  Preceded in death by her husband, Martin Geis, on May 4, 1992.  Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bob Erichsen, of Massillon; three sons and two daughters-in-law, James Geis, Aaron and Sharon Geis, and Matthew and Lisa Geis, all of Canton; and six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  Services will be held Fri. at 1 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in North Canton with Bishop M. Scott Hunter officiating.  Burial in Sunset Hills Burial Park.  Friends may call Thur. from 6-8 p.m. in Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home and Fri. one hour before the service, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in the church.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
