Marilyn J. Cochran,

Age 87, of North Canton passed away January 21, 2026.  She was born September 29, 1938 in Akron, Ohio.  Born to Ruth (Bishop) Martin and raised by her mother and George Martin.  She retired as office manager for James Felix, DDS.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio for over 50 years where she was active in the women's ministries and chaperone for the Epworth Choir for many years.  She was long-time volunteer for the PGA charity golf tournaments at Firestone Country Club.  When her children were younger, she was active in the Little Black Tigers Pee Wee Football program.  She was an avid sports fan, following her sons and grandchildren through all levels of athletic competition.  When not spending time with her family she cherished her travels and adventures with her long-time friends and graduates of Akron North High School.

Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Carl C. Cochran in September 2023, she is survived 3 sons and daughters-in-law, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, Dr. Jeffrey and Ramona Cochran and children, Jeffrey (Kara) Cochran Jr., and their children, Fiona and Levi, and Matthew (Nikki) and their children (Mara and Millie);  Paul and Dawn Cochran and children, Clifford Cochran and Candace (Cochran) and Aaron Hensen; Phillip and Dana Cochran and children, Ethan and Elliott Cochran.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Lakes, 5944 Fulton Drive NW, Canton, Ohio 44718. With Pastor Bryan George officiating.  Friends may call one hour before the service from 10: to 11:00 am at the church.  In lieu of flowers, contribution in Marilyn's memory may be made to First Church Feeds Mission, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, 44221.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
