Marilyn C. Bidlingmaier

age 94, of East Sparta, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022.  She was born August 19, 1927 in Canton, a daughter of the late John and Minnie (Zacharias) Bednarz, and was a life resident of the Canton/North Canton area until moving to East Sparta in 2003.  Marilyn was a 1945 graduate of McKinley High School, and retired in 1963 from Ohio Bell after 13 years' service, where she was chief operator.  She was a member of East Sparta United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Arnold W. Bidlingmaier, on April 11, 2011, and a sister, Eileen Carson.  She is survived by a son, Kevin (Loree) Bidlingmaier, 3 grandsons, Jordan Bidlingmaier, Larry (Chris) Grubish, and Jerrett Reed, two granddaughters, Amie (Nate) Perez, and Abbie (Dusty) Brown, 10 great-grandchildren, one niece and two nephews.

Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m.  in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Peggy Garner officiating.  Friends may call one hour before the service on Friday from 10-11 a.m.  Interment will be in North Canton Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marilyn's memory may be made to East Sparta Volunteer Fire Department.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
