Marie A. Ferrell Age 91, of East Sparta, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011. She was born in Buffalo, OH, a daughter of the late Bert and Esther Price Christian, and had been an East Sparta resident since 1943. She was a former employee of the U. S. Ceramic Tile Co. in East Sparta. Marie was a member of East Sparta United Methodist Church and the Women's Society of the church. Preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ralph J. Ferrell, on May 31, 2003, two sons and a daughter, Kent Ferrell, on Dec. 10, 1989, Keith Ferrell, on Dec. 20, 2003, and Kamille Herbert, on May 21, 2008, also three sisters, Erma Williams, Roberta Broom, and Connie Scott. Survived by her daughter-in-law, Hallie Ferrell, of Magnolia; six grandchildren, Kevin (Ruth) Ferrell, Kris (Joanne) Ferrell, Jeff (Janet) Ferrell, Steve (Diane) Ferrell, Tom (Jennifer) Ferrell, and Beth (Robert) Hall; 14 great-grandchildren. Services were held on Thursday in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Peggy Garner officiating. Interment was in East Sparta Cemetery.
