Marie L. Buchman Age 95, of Champlin, MN, formerly Canton, passed away Jan. 1, 2012, in her residence. She was born in St. Louis, MO, a daughter of the late Lambert and Anna Marie (Bauer) Smith, and had been a Canton resident most of her life until moving to Champlin in Sept. of 1992. Marie was retired from Jackson Local Schools where she taught at Lake Cable Elementary School. She was a former member of Church of The Savior, United Methodist. Preceded in death by her husband, Paul F. Buchman, on August 19, 1980. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Robert Buttery, of Champlin, MN; three granddaughters and six great-grandchildren, Christine (Daniel) McIalwain, and their children, Lyndzie and Jeremiah, Laura (Anthony) Geist, and their children, Madison and Rudolph, and Melissa (Martin) Calcagno and their children, Daniele and Christopher. Funeral services were held in Osseo United Methodist Church in Osseo, MN. A committal service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of North Lawn Mausoleum with Rev. Edward Fashbaugh officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday 10:30-11 a.m. before the service.
