Marian S. "Toots" Joseph
Age 102, of DeLand, FL, formerly Magnolia, passed away Wed., Dec. 29, 2021. She was born August 19, 1919 in Canton, a daughter of the late Charles and Henrietta (Rieger) Daniels, and was a life resident of Waynesburg and Magnolia until moving to DeLand a number of years ago. Toots was a 1937 graduate of Waynesburg High School and had been an employee of the former Waynesburg Bank (now KeyBank) for eleven years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Magnolia, where she was a member of the Altar Guild, Lutheran Church Women, and the Sewing Circle, and also member of the Weavers & Spinners Guild of Stark County. Toots was an accomplished artist and painted numerous local landmarks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John W. Joseph, on May 20, 1998, and her daughter, Karen Meyer, on May 6, 2017. She is survived by her son, Daniel Joseph, her son-in-law, Michael Meyer, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, John (Alaina) Faiello, and children, Rocco and Giavanna Faiello and Braden Buckey, Corey Swinehart, Ashley Swinehart, and Nicole (Joseph) Simmons.
Private services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor J. Andrew Riggs officiating. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
