Mae Bailey
Age 91, of Magnolia, passed away Wed. morning in Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar. She was born in New Kensington, PA, a daughter of the late James and Cora Mae (Irwin) Guinn, resided in Magnolia since 1985, previously residing in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio, where she assisted her husband in the various churches he pastored. After his retirement in 1973, they resided in Eustis, FL until moving to Magnolia. Mae was a 1939 graduate of New Kensington High School, and in her early years had been a telephone operator in Salem, OH. She was a member of First Friends Church in Canton, and attended Magnolia United Methodist Church. Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Rev. Walter R. Bailey, on July 7, 1996, a daughter, Lola Mae Bailey, and a sister, Lola Duncan. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Ted Cobbs, of Waynesburg, and Deborah and Fred Williams, of Coshocton; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, Joe (Emily) Cobbs and their daughter, Harper, of Cincinnati, Karen (Ian) Coffee, of Salem, and Whitney Williams, of Westerville; one niece, Lynne Peterson, of Salem. Services will be held Sat. at 11:30 a.m. in Magnolia United Methodist Church. A private burial will be held at 9 a.m. Sat. in Damascus Cemetery.
