Obituary

LULA MAE HANEY,

Age 93, lifelong resident of Mineral City and member of Mineral City Church of the Nazarene, passed away on Mar. 30, 2017, following a period of declining health, in Park Village in Dover.  For 69 years she was the loving wife of William Haney who survives, and the devoted , loving mother of James (Sharon) Haney, Mark (Mary) Haney, Rebecca Lou Haney, and a John Duane, a son, who preceded her in death and with whom she is now reunited.  Born to Frank and Lulu Zurfley in 1923, she was a 1941 graduate of Mineral City High School and then furthered her education at Canton Actual Business College.  Soon after she was employed at the Timken Co., Ideal Furniture Store and United Ceramic Tile Co., where she made spark plugs during the war, the job she said was her favorite.  Her family then became her priority.  In addition to her children, she was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.  She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all.  Services will be held Mon. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.  Interment in Ft.
