Lowell O. Harris

Age 88, of East Sparta, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, in Aultman Hospital.  He was born in Webster County, WV, a son of the late Elmer and Vergie (Helmick) Harris, and resided in the Sandyville/East Sparta area since 1950.  Lowell retired in 1989 from Hercules Engines, after 22 years service, where he worked in the tool storage.  He was a member of East Sparta Christian Church, Isaac L. Kinney American Legion Post #244, and the Buckeye Camping Club.  Lowell served in the U. S. Army during World War II.  Preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Wanda L. Harris, on Jan. 8, 2012, and a brother, Stanley Harris.  Survived by his sister, Reva Anderson, of Polaca, FL, two nieces, Paula Render and Barbara Everhard, five nephews, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.  Services will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Andy Bailey, Minister, officiating.  Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville.  Friends may call Sat. 10-11 a.m. before the service.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
