E. Lorraine Emerick Age 89, a resident of The Pines, passed away there Thursday evening. She was born in Mingo Junction, OH, a daughter of the late Homer and Artie (Derenberg) Walker, and had been a Canton resident most of her life. Lorraine was a 1941 graduate of Mingo Junction High School. She retired from Aultman Hospital after 10 years service, where she was a Ward Clerk on Main Five, and also Labor & Delivery. Preceded in death by her husband, John O. "Joe" Emerick, on Feb. 14, 1999, three sisters and one brother. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Sandy Toma, of Canton; five sons and daughters-in-law, John and Millie Emerick, of Des Moines, IA, Dana and Coleen Emerick, of Canton, Douglas and Kate Emerick, of Levittown, PA, Thomas Emerick and his companion, Richard Palleschi, of Trenton, NJ, and Stephen and Kaia Emerick, of Baltimore, MD; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Mon. at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor David de Vries officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
