Lloyd A. Schrader, Sr.

Age 84, of Canton, was the best husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, and great-great-grandpa a family could ever ask for.  You will be dearly missed, but we are glad you are finally at peace.  He passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017.  Lloyd was born in Howenstine, OH, a son of the late Lloyd A. and Erma (Pittman) Schrader, and was a resident of Canton except from 1997-2014, when they resided in Robertsville.  He retired in 1997 from Waste Management, after nine years service, where he was a heavy equipment operator, and previously was employed 25 years by Garaux Bros.  Besides his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by four brothers.  He is survived by his wife, Nellie Schrader, with whom he would have celebrated their 66th Wedding Anniversary on November 1st; one son, Lloyd (Diane) Schrader, Jr.,one daughter, Peggy (Rob) Wolfarth,  seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter, three sisters and one brother.  A Celebration of Life will be held Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lloyd's memory may be made to the Salvation Army, 420 Market Ave. South, Canton, OH  44702.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
