LISA A. DYE, Age 44, of East Sparta, passed away suddenly Tues. morning. Born in Canton, a daughter of Lois Schoeppner, of East Sparta, and the late Dale Schoeppner, she had been a life resident of East Sparta. Lisa was a 1985 graduate of Sandy Valley High School, a 1989 graduate of Mount Union College and was a member of the Sandy Valley Booster Club and East Sparta United Methodist Church. She worked at Walker Elementary in special education, previously having worked at West Elementary School in Minerva. Survived by her husband, Chris Dye, with whom she celebrated their 21st Wedding Anniversary on July 14, 2011; one daughter, Morgan Dye, and one son, Austin Dye, both of the home; one sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Bryan Kerr, of Mt. Washington, KY; one brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Becky Schoeppner, of Magnolia; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be conducted Mon. at 11 a.m. in the East Sparta United Methodist Church with Rev. Peggy Garner officiating. Friends may call Sun. from 2-4 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lisa's name may be made to the family for the benefit of her children.
