Linda E. (DeLuca) Anthony
Age 77, of Canton, passed away Wed., June 2, 2021, after a short battle with lung cancer. She was born January 12, 1944 in Canton, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Roof) DeLuca, and was a resident of the Magnolia/Waynesburg area most of her life. Linda was a 1962 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Canton. On November 23, 1963 she married Lee Anthony and was married until his death in 1988. Linda loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren and going to all their activities. She was an enthusiastic long-time volunteer (23 years) for Sandy Valley Schools and Sandy Valley Boosters. She had been an employee of Schauer & Reed Insurance Co. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Anthony and son-in-law, Doug Ryan. Linda is survived by three daughters and one son, Kris Ryan, Vicki (Frank) Fonte, Jamie Anthony (Ron), and Scott (Heather) Anthony. She is Nini to her grandchildren, which include granddaughters, Lauryn, Brooke, Jordan, and Hannah, and grandsons Brock, Austin, Mitch, Vincent (Alaina), and Matthieu (Ariel), a great-grandson, Zeke, her sister-in-law, Patsy Wills, and cousin, Jane Mann. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held Sat., July 10, 2021, at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant. Following interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery the family will receive friends in St. James Church Hall for a time of remembrance and refreshments. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the Aultman Hospice Team and Aultman Compassionate Care Center for their exceptional care and support they gave to Linda. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the Sandy Valley Athletic Booster Club, 5362 State Route 183 NE, Magnolia, OH 44643.
