Linda M. Beers  1942-2016

Age 74, of Mineral City, passed away Sat., July 9, 2016, in her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in New Philadelphia, OH, a daughter of the late Curtis Garrett, and Benjamin and Martha (Dessecker) Olivet, and had been a Mineral City resident most of her life.  Linda was a 1960 graduate of Tusky Valley High School and was a former employee of Giant Eagle in Bolivar.  She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Marie Garrett, and a great-grandson, Jacob Anthony Hayward.  Survived by her husband, Frederick F. Beers, Jr., with whom she would have celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary July 16, 2016; four daughters and sons-in-law, , Vickie and Dennis Moore, Julie and Bill Knecht, Jodie Beers, and Cheryl and Jan Slutz, all of Mineral City; one son, Frederick and Pam Beers IV, of East Sparta; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carol Marks, of Strasburg, Marjorie and Jim Homan, of Orrville, and Marlene and Dave Roadpouch, of Bolivar.  Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev.
