Linda W. Anthony

Age 79, of Massillon, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024.  She was born July 22, 1944 in Johnstown, PA, a daughter of the late William and Mabel (Weigle) Meredith, and had been a resident of the Canton/Massillon area over 60 years.  Linda was a 1962 graduate of Lehman High School and a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church.  She had worked at Sears and Rice Pharmacy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and brother, Dawn Lofdahl and Robert Meredith.  She is survived by her husband, Ted E. Anthony, with whom she celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Oct. 12th last year; one daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Jeffrey Jacob; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Leilani Anthony, and Eric and Andrea Anthony; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Smith officiating.  Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 12-1 p.m. before the service.  Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Contributions in Linda's memory may be made to: John Knox Presbyterian Church, 5155 Eastlake St. NW, North Canton, OH 44720.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
