Lillian L. Wilton
Age 87, a resident of Heather Ridge in North Canton, passed away Wed., April 27, 2011, in Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Ironwood, MI, a daughter of the late Joseph and Hazel Chipman LaPere, resided in Cleveland 25 years until moving to Jacksonville, NC in 1980, and coming back to Ohio in July of 2010. Lillian was a retired accountant. She was a member of Northwoods United Methodist Church, the Coastal Civitan, DAV Auxiliary, Jacksonville American Legion Post #265, and the American Legion Auxiliary, all in Jacksonville, NC. Lillian served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Preceded in death by her husband, Byron Wilton, Sr., her daughter, Sally Ann Dudek, her son, Byron Wilton, Jr., and three brothers, Glenn, Lloyd, and Earl LaPere. Survived by three grandsons, Tim (Kim) Dudek, of Magnolia, OH, Rich (Michelle) Dudek, of Uniontown, OH, and Mike (Dana) Dudek, of Jackson Township, OH. A graveside service will be held on Sat., May 7, 2011, at 11 a.m. in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bedford Heights, OH with Rev. Steven M. Smith officiating. There will be no calling hours. The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of arrangements.
